Abstract
Discipline-based differences in the professional attitudes and activities of faculty members have been reported as consistent across a variety of types of colleges and universities (Smart, 1982). The following study extended these findings by examining differences between the attitudes and beliefs regarding merit pay of Arts and Sciences and Business faculty.
