Abstract
American culture, rhetoric, and policies have been shaped by and are founded upon eugenic principles that claim there is a “right” mind, body, sexual appetite, and timeline. This false belief of what counts as “normal” and “human” has historically excluded disabled and asexual individuals, deeming their existence as invalid. Thus, so long as the disabled and asexual experience is ignored, discriminated against, and medicalized, the cycle of exclusivity--which prioritizes and validates white, heterosexual, able-bodied individuals--continues.
