Abstract
This work describes the development of a strategy to synthesize cyclic peptides and selectively convert them into their linear forms for analysis. Using solid-phase peptide synthesis, peptides were cyclized via intramolecular reductive amination incorporating a secondary amino alcohol cleavable linker, and subsequently linearized through sodium periodate oxidation.
