Abstract

Mental health disparities have been disproportionately affecting low-income and racially marginalized students reflecting large systemic issues within the education system. This research paper examines the intersection between race, poverty, and mental health, focusing on disparities within school-based services, and solutions for addressing student needs while drawing from existing research and literature to explore the issues concerning limited access, resources, funding, and other limitations to equitable access to mental health services.
