About This Journal
Verdi Forum (originally the AIVS Newsletter, later the Verdi Newsletter) is published by the American Institute for Verdi Studies. A peer-reviewed, scholarly journal, the Verdi Forum seeks to advance knowledge of all aspects of music and culture related to the life and works of Giuseppe Verdi. Its content includes not only traditional source, analytical, interpretive, and performance practice studies but also interdisciplinary contributions.
Submitted articles are evaluated by the editor and, following initial acceptance, are then peer-reviewed. For information on how to submit an article, see Policies
New issues of the Verdi Forum will be published in print through January 2016, after which all new issues will be available, free of charge, at this site. Selected articles from the backfiles of the Verdi Forum, Verdi Newsletter, and AIVS Newsletter are published online by the UR Scholarship Repository at Boatwright Memorial Library, University of Richmond.
