The Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies program at the University of Richmond organized a "I Support" March on November 16, 2016 in reaction to the 2016 Presidential Election. The march encouraged participants to carry signs formatted thusly: “I Support X,” where X is a law, policy, program, or institution likely to be repealed, dismantled, or de-funded by the incoming Congress and Administration. Examples of signs included: I Support the Environmental Protection Agency, I Support a Woman’s Right to Choose, I Support the DACA, I Support Medicare, Etc. Tables were available with literature on issues and on ways to become involved in issues of concern, such as environmental, health care, immigration, LGBTQ, anti-racism, anti-poverty, etc. This collection of flyers represents the literature that was available on the table displays.
