Abstract
This study will attempt to determine the characteristics and qualifications of the assistant principals of elementary schools of Virginia. Further it will be a goal of this study to determine the characteristics of the position which the assistant principals fill. The report will also seek to determine the responsibility and authority which the respondents exercise in various duty areas.
