Abstract
It was the primary purpose of this study to offer a general view of the social characteristics of the local Virginia school board member . An attempt was made to evaluate and analyze some of the social features of these individuals. It was believed that this would perhaps contribute to a better understanding of some of the varied reactions of local school boards.
