Description
Grounded in an anxiety perspective, we developed an intervention designed to promote interracial interactions. Participants in the intervention groups were asked to meet someone new of a different race. Relative to the control, those in the intervention conditions met more people, felt less anxiety, and this lower anxiety predicted more interest in interacting with others from a different race.
