Why IT Has Not Paid Off as We Hoped (Yet)
Abstract
Those of us who have been involved in the long courtship between higher education and information technology can recall many ups and downs in the last thirty years or so. We watched as commerce was transformed, as entertainment was transformed, as personal communication was transformed, and we kept waiting for the moment when higher education would be transformed in the same way.
