Every year, the T. C. Williams School of Law puts together a collection of photos to introduce the entering class of law students. In years past, this was done by creating posters composed of tiny photos of every student, which were then distributed to the faculty to help them get to know their students. These posters, now displayed in the series entitled "Class Photos Pre-1997", have been drawn from the law school archives and digitized. These include a large and much-appreciated 2017 donation by a long-time faculty member who contributed many of the photos from the 1970s and 80s. In 1998, however, the law school transitioned to producing "facebooks," which are yearbook-style booklets of photos highlighted in the series called "Class Photos 1998-Current." Initially, these included only the entering class, but in recent years they have expanded to include all of the students in the law school, divided by class and section, complete with a name index for ease of use. The most recent development has been the addition of a separate facebook to highlight the law school's international students. The facebooks are distributed every year to all faculty, staff, and students in the law school, and a complete set is available for viewing in the law library's special collections.
