Abstract
Teeth whitening has rapidly gained popularity as one of the most sought-after dental cosmetic procedures today. Once an exclusive treatment performed primarily by dental professionals, it has now expanded into the mainstream market, with store shelves stocked full of “natural” alternatives and “affordable” whitening strips. But the pressing question remains: do these strips actually work, or are they just a marketing gimmick? This article aims to uncover the truth. We will first explorethe science behind teeth whitening and then delve into the effectiveness andpotential drawbacks of these popular over-the-counter products.
