Abstract
Neuroprosthetics are implanted or exterior devices that support or replace parts of a compromised nervous system. This emerging field has grown significantly over the past two decades, producing innovative technology with the potential to benefit those afflicted by paralysis and amputation as well as Parkinson's disease and epilepsy.
