Abstract
The overall question of "How Does Transportation Effect Richmond as a Wholesale Center" can be broken down into two component parts; first, in what position is Richmond in relation to getting goods to the wholesale establishments in Richmond? and secondly, what part does transportation play in the distribution of these goods from the Richmond wholesaler to his customer? When these questions have been answered, the main question will have been essentially answered.
