Abstract

The 1992 fifth edition of Cases and Comments on Criminal Law introduces significant changes from the earlier editions. Not only has the subject content been updated by the inclusion of many modern cases, both as principal cases and in the accompanying notes, but the subject matter has been entirely rearranged according to a different organizational framework that begins the study of criminal law by focusing on general concepts of criminality. Only after these concepts have been developed in the cases and note materials, do we reach the study of specific crimes and defenses to criminal liability.
