Article Title
Abstract
This article demonstrates that the compositions of true friendship are goodness, love, and equality. Through the exploration of philosophical works by Aristotle and Cicero, this essay starts by distinguishing the three types of friendship and then explains why friendship based on goodness is so-called true friendship. From a philosophical perspective, the connections of equality and love, and love and goodness illustrate the important value of love in a true friendship and why friendship needs balance, which helps people to keep friendship permanently. By analyzing the examples in the movie Promising Young Woman and the novel Love in a Fallen City, it extremely shows that the significance of compositions of true friendship could have a long-lasting impact on both people in the friendship.
